Entity Paradigm makes a reunion at LUMS

The evening of 12th March, 2009 saw Entity Paradigm (also known as eP) making a surprise entry in the LUMS Olympiad ’09. With their fascinating performance the band officially announced its return to music scene after about four years. The band had earlier split up due to the internal differences among band members. The return is welcomed by whole of the music community as EP was considered as one of the best Pakistani rock bands when they released their first album Irtiqa in 2003.

The band is without the services of Xulfi (who is currently working with another Pakistani band ‘Call’) and the band’s former base-player Sajjad. Currently Fawad is on vocals along with Ahmad while the band still has the services of talented drummers Waqar and Salman. Hasan Khalid is the only guitarist with the band.

The audience at LUMS Olympiad ’09 were kept in dark about Entity Paradigm’s performance until the band appeared on the stage. Earlier it was announced that some local band will perform in the concert. But the audience went mad when they saw EP performing in front of their eyes after about 4 years. Pakiology team received a superb performance label in unison, when inquired from the audience about concert.

Entity Paradigm first came onto the Pakistani music scene when they participated in Pepsi battle of the bands. Though they ended up as runners up in the final but the exposure helped them gain a large fan following. Before participating in Battle of the Bands, Entity and Padigm were two different underground bands. They came up with one name for Battle of the bands and then ended up as the first Pakistani band to have two vocalists and two drummers.

The band is currently working on their second album.
