Country is not just a geographical region or a landscape but it is a nation’s strength and identity. It is a place where one’s principles and beliefs are practiced. As George William Curtis said “A man’s country is not a certain area of land, of mountains, of rivers and woods, but it is a principle; and patriotism is loyalty to that principle”.
This has been proved by our fore fathers who have survived and sacrificed to get this piece of land, our Pakistan. It is a place where we can practice our own religion and principles easily. It is our identity. But it’s so sad that we have forgotten our responsibilities towards our country. Our young generation always strives to flee their own country their own identity. Usually we blame our country by saying that there is nothing here; we don’t remember what we have done in the betterment of our country.
As we all know that the Independence Day, 14th of August is about to come. We are supposed to celebrate this day with full zeal and enthusiasm. Like other lively nations do, we should also celebrate it like write from today. But as we all can see that there is not at least 1 flag rose in our country yet, but we all can see the PPP flags all over the Islamabad. Our politicians as well as we people have destroyed the struggle of those people who have laid their lives to give us this independent country. Today our country has lost its identity, everywhere it is considered as the place where terrorists are taught. This is the Muslim nation and Muslims are never taught terrorism. Islam is the religion of peace.

We are losing our identity and now this is the time that we should get united and make our country a peaceful developed place. We should not flee our country but should serve it. Now is the time to help our own country and clear it with all bad activities. Let’s change the world’s mind and prove it to be a best country and nation. As well said by someone “God help those who help themselves”.
So, we should promise on this Independence Day to serve our country at our best. This will be the best gift a nation can present to its country. Let’s pray for all those people who have sacrificed their lives for Pakistan. Let’s celebrate this new beginning at its best with full zeal and zest. Happy coming Independence Day!

Sadaf nice thoughts, but let me tell you one thing everybody has a certain threshold to bear the wrong things, and when the threshold is reached it is better to serve the country by leaving it.
At least for me it is not right to see the convicted people to be rewarded and the top leadership of our country are liars.
It is very good to say to serve your country, be patriotic but on the other hand what is happening to the people who are patriotic.
If you are corrupt you enjoy all the facilities and even the cases against you are dropped but if you are sincere patriotic person it is even difficult to make your ends meet.
Hope we can understand the ideology of Pakistan, for that our forefathers have shed blood.
One thing I would like to point here is that most of the time your articles lack sufficient facts and citations. It’s true that these flags are waving high all over Islamabad. But they were hoisted on the birth anniversary of Shaheed Benazir Bhuttuo. It was actually not wrong at that time. PPP’s workers hoisted these flags and it was their way of remembering a great leader.
It’s been around 45 days that they have not been removed. Political Secretary of President and leader of PPP Senator Raza Abidi ordered to remove these flags by July 27 and directed to hoist Flag of Pakistan all over Islamabad from 1st of August. But sadly that didn’t happen.
But I hope these flags get removed and Flag of Pakistan gets hoisted all over Islamabad. Because now it’s totally wrong that flags of PPP wave in the air of our beloved capital.
Please try to give requisite citations with articles, as words once written play a vital role to create and change mindset of people. So we don’t have to look for it ourselves.
u may be right. i know that it was for the respected mohtarma Benazir but i think Pakistan should be the foremost priority. we are not here to wait for the government that when they change flags. thats why we wrote on it. we try our best to provide the best information one can give. we do not bound anyone to restrict to our site you are free to seacrh the info where ever you can. no one is perfect in writing as many people think that its only their business. we try our best and will keep on trying our best. criticism and suggestions are always welcome but personally i only welcome those suggestions to my mind which look like suggestions, and accepted your suggestion and also the last one thanx to be in touch u always help for betterment
@sameer….yeah u are right dat a patriotic person gets nothing in our country.but somewhere some how this is our own mistake…may b we choose wrong people as leaders.but for the betterment of our beloved country we have to start as an individual….n yes may Allah give us the power to stand for our country and to understand its ideology
