Telenor Pakistan and Tameer Microfinance Bank has launched yet another exciting service under easypaisa. This new service is focused on the lower-middle Pakistani class, giving them the ease to send money to their loved ones anywhere and any time they want. The best thing about the EasyPaisa Money Transfer service is that you don’t need to have a bank account for it.
This service is NOT bound to telenor costumers only, anyone with a valid CNIC can avail it. The maximum cash limit per month is Rs 10,000/- and one CNIC can send/receive cash a maximum of three times in one month.
The service charges for EasyPaisa Money Transfer are as follows:
How to send/receive cash?
- The sender goes to an easypaisa retail store and provides the representative with his origional CNIC alongwith one copy of it.
- He also provides the shopkeeper with reciever’s CNIC number.
- The sender than tells the shopkeeper that how much money he wants to send.
- The shopkeeper will ask the sender about his and the reciever’s cell phone numbers. This is optional and the sender will not be forced to give the number.
- The shopkeeper will then give his cell phone to the sender and ask him to enter a 5-digit secret passcode.
- The shopkeeper then completes the transaction process and gives a written receipt to the sender.
- An instant SMS will be delivered on the cell phones of the sender, receiver and the shopkeeper. Transaction ID will be sent via this SMS.
- The sender then tells the receiver about the secret 5-digit passcode and the unique transaction ID.
- The receiver goes to the nearest EasyPaisa shop and gives provides him with the original and copy of his CNIC and the transaction ID. He asks the receiver to enter the 5-digit passcode.
- After the remaining processes that shopkeeper gives the cash to the receiver. A written receipt is also given to the receiver.
Note: The money can be received seconds after being sent by the sender.
Telenor had earlier launched Utility Bill Payment service under EasyPaisa while Mobile Wallet is going to be the next service under EasyPaisa. There are currently 4000+ easypaisa outlets around the country which telenor plans to incresr upto 20,000 by the end of year 2010. These easypaisa outlets include general stores, PCOs, Mobile shops, small and medium shops, Telenor sales and service centers and branches of Tameer Bank. The easypaisa outlets can be checked here.
