A Tribute to Shaheed-e-Jamhuriat: From Artisans of Swat and Malakand

A arts, crafts and folk performers festival was arranged in the capital from 31st Dec 09 to 3rd Jan 2010. The festival was arranged to give tribute to Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto shaheed by the IDPs of Swat, Malakand and Mansehra. The festival was arranged under the project UMEED-E-NAU (A New Hope) that is run by the National Institute of Cultural Studies. The main attractions were artisan at work, handicrafts, gift items, food products and exotic performances by the folk dancers, singers artists and musicians.
