Situation of Pakistan in the recent years has not been very stable. The people of the country have suffered from poverty, heavy population and internal political disputes. Lack of foreign investment and terrorism has added to worsen the situation for the inhabitants. To top all this, flood situation in the country has only pushed the country downwards. In the times like this, when people of the country see no hope, when all seems dark and when there is no positive image of the country being promoted in the international media, the youth of Pakistan has not given up.

With all the strength that is required and the determination needed, Youth of the country has risen to not only help the country in the hard times but to also provide a platform to all the young minds that have the courage and persistence to not only take the country towards its betterment also to help promote its positive image.

One similar platform for the youth all around the world by the youth of the country is “International Youth Conference & Festival 2011”.  With the aim of harnessing relationships of trust and understanding among different nations across the globe and with the purpose of creating an awareness of each other’s culture, the conference is to be held from 19th Oct till 22nd Oct, 2011. The conference will not only have a congregation of experienced social activists and change makers that will bring into focus the issues that have an impact locally and internationally but will also share the best practices, for the youth of today, in the use of social media.

The first International Youth conference in 2010 had brought a lot of positive change in terms of promoting the image of Pakistan and bringing the youth together.  A number of inspirational and motivational speakers had also contributed a great deal in the festival. It was only after the success of the first “International Youth Conference & Festival” that it was decided to hold this event annually.  This year with five sessions and eight workshops in three days, the conference plans a meeting of minds and celebration of cultures.

With hopes all high and enthusiasm at its peak, the country yet again awaits for the youth to unravel through this conference the hope, the optimism and the courage that is needed the most right now.
