Yet another 14th August. The streets, markets and even social networking sites went ‘green’. 14th August is that time of the year again when patriotism is at its peak in the hearts of all the Pakistanis all over the world. Wake up this independence day

PakistanFlag-1Country is not just a geographical region or a landscape but it is a nation’s strength and identity. It is a place where one’s principles and beliefs are practiced. As George William Curtis said “A man’s country is not a certain area of land, of mountains, of rivers and woods, but it is a principle; and patriotism is loyalty to that principle”.

This has been proved by our fore fathers who have survived and sacrificed to get this piece of land, our Pakistan. It is a place where we can practice our own religion and principles easily. It is our identity. But it’s so sad that we have forgotten our responsibilities towards our country. Our young generation always strives to flee their own country their own identity. Usually we blame our country by saying that there is nothing here; we don’t remember what we have done in the betterment of our country.
