Here you learn about the theory of medicament preparation and the use of medications for therapeutic purposes. The Pakistan Pharmacy Council is the regulating body for pharmacy education in Pakistan. What is a Pharmacist?

A pharmacist is a doctor of pharmacy who has completed four years of undergraduate study, followed by three additional years of graduate study (post-baccalaureate residency) at a university program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education. After graduation, they complete an internship year and then apply for licensure. They are licensed to prescribe medications under the supervision of a physician and may conduct physical examinations including taking medical histories, performing laboratory tests, prescribing treatments, and dispensing prescriptions. In addition to these duties, pharmacists can counsel patients about their drug therapy, educate them about the proper use of drugs, and provide information on health risks associated with certain medications. They can even offer alternative therapies for conditions that have not been adequately treated through traditional means.

What is a Diploma in Pharmacy?

A diploma in pharmacy is the completion of both undergraduate and graduate-level courses that lead to a professional degree. These courses are normally accredited through a university or college. To earn a diploma in pharmacy, students need to complete at least 4 years of undergraduate school followed by 2-4 years of postgraduate study. Students who have earned a bachelor's degree in pharmacy can then pursue a master's degree.
